my crafts!
Here are some of the crafts that I like to do (and pictures of past projects if I have 'em!)

knitting
I'm currently obsessed with knitting sweaters. Ultimately, my objective is to knit my very own custom sweater designs! I have SO MANY amazing ideas and I can't wait to create them!
Until then, I'm exploring yarn options and learning techniques by knitting lots of different sweater patterns. I'm also interested in knitting socks one day, but sweaters are my current fave!
I'm currently working on 2 projects: a stranded colorwork strawberry sweater in the round and a cabled seamed green sweater.
I have a lot of trouble memorizing cable pattern symbols and acronyms. Here's a simple Python program I wrote to write row-by-row instructions for the Handsome Chris Pullover! I printed this out to reference it while knitting. If you're fine having a screen by you when knitting, you could also make it take in a sweater row and output the instructions. But I prefer to print my knitting instructions, so I can scribble on them!
My first knitted sweater, a purple fuzzy raglan sweater in the round. The sleeves were done one at a time, and one is slightly longer than the other. I wear this sweater very frequently. My second knitted sweater, a white raglan sweater in the round with a simple cable design at the raglans. I used this sweater to try different knitting techniques to achieve a cable. This sweater is a bit too long on me. -
crocheting
I really love crocheting! It's so satisfying and fun. My favorite thing to crochet is big ol' blankets, and my least favorite thing is amigurumi because I often get lost spatially. I especially love a simple repetitive blanket that I can crochet while listening to an audiobook, but I also love complex crochet patterns because they're so beautiful. I would love to crochet my own lace one day.
My first crochet project as an adult, a mint baby blanket with white scalloped edges. I tend to fold this one in half on a diagonal and use it as a shawl. Crocheted legwarmers made of fluffy sparkly yarn. These go along with so many outfits, but they get looser after each wash. I have to pick apart the seam and reduce it by a few rows one of these days. A fluffy pastel throw blanket with cables on it. I need to remake this one with Neapolitan ice cream colors, that would be so cute! A crocheted crossbody bag with a crow design. I made this as a gift for a friend whose favorite animal is crows. A blanket with moon phases and stars. This was my first time crocheting in the round, using invisible join, overlay mosaic crochet, and making and seaming squares to make a blanket. It was a challenge, and I'm proud of this one. I made it as a gift for my father, who likes the Moon. -
random crafts
Other crafty things I've done or made!
My first ever stained glass project, a dragonfly suncatcher with a mirror piece as the thorax. I made this as a gift for my neighbor because she has lots of dragonfly-related decor. A friendship bracelet I made at a queer craft picnic event. I want to make alpha bracelets, but I don't know anyone to give the finished bracelet away to. If you want an alpha bracelet, let me know. My first time working with UV resin, at a 1-day workshop! I made a coaster that says "take it easy" for my roommate, a they/them pronouns badge for my nonbinary friend, a badge reel with giraffe stickers that my other nonbinary friend gave me, and a heart keychain. I loved working with all the pretty glitter!
